 About once a month when my girlfriend is away and I’m alone in the house, bored, and sometimes a little tipsy, I will take anything between £25 and £40 and play online roulette with it.

Sometimes my aim is to play for as long as possible… However more recently my aim has been to simply double my money. It turns out that this is quite an easy thing to do, and more often than not when I play I do double my money at some point.. I just then tend to keep playing and lose it all again.

My best tactic to make money from betting/gambling is to enjoy it occasionally, and as soon as I have doubled my money, I quit. Unless I really don’t care about the money and just want to have fun, in which case I am no longer trying to make money.

As I can tell this is the only way where you can consistently make money from the casino… By stopping at the right time. Even then, statistically speaking over time you will lose money (A marginal amount based on the house advantage). Either way, stopping as soon as you are up is the only way to have a chance to win long term.
